Ibis Budget Lyon Centre - Gare Part Dieu

I needed to send the hotel a large package a few day ahead of my arrival. This was no problem at all for the staff who kindly sent me an email to say it had been safely received and stored. A competitor wanted to charge a daily fee of €15 for the same service! I travelled by bikes and the bike storage cage was very secure and thoughtfully the hotel had left a trak pump there for guest use. A track pump is too heavy for cyclists to carry but super necessary to get the right tyre pressure. Every hotel should provide one for cyclists but very few do. Thank you!

Location is perfect for traveling by train and plane! We arrived in Lyon by train from Geneva to the Central Station to which the hotel is very close. Two days later, to go to the airport, we used the shuttle metro. Its station is about 100 meters from the hotel. That tipe of arrangment is extremely pleasant and convenient for arrival and departure by different transportation means. The hotel is very clean, very new and pleasant to stay for 2-3 nights. Staff is very polite and helpful.

I stayed one night before taking the train the following morning. The train station was really closeby, so it was very practical for me to get there on foot. I really liked the room, it seemed quite new. It was also very quiet. You couldn't hear the noise outside.

The room had everything I needed, the bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, the shower always had hot water and good water pressure. The room was constantly kept clean by the staff. Even though my room was right across a train station I never heard a thing, the room has great noise insulation. Staff is really nice and helpful.

The location close to train and airport shuttle stations! (within a 2-minute walk to Rhone express and SCNF stations). It is also well-connected with buses and metros for reaching the city and other tourist destinations. There was no problem for arriving anytime because they have luggage storage, and I was allowed to check-in at noon. The staff members were nice and provided the information I needed. There was a welcome drink upon arrival and had extra umbrellas for guests to use for sudden showers. The free Wifi worked well for my purposes. The room is bright and clean, with minimal but essential facilities for use during transits or short stays. It was also clean and well-maintained as described by other reviewers. I had a comfortable sleep on a nice bed. There is a big mall (Westfield) nearby and small food and souvenir shops in the train station, although they close early. I appreciate it that air conditioning was available especially during hot summer weather, unlike in other hotels.
